Where is it? Who is it suitable for? What do I need?
Our plan is to head to a mountain range with the best conditions and weather on the day. We will know where this will be a couple of days beforehand and will email you with some options.
Initially, our meeting point for onward travel will be the Ogwen Valley Visitor Centre. Please park in the bays on the left side of the parking area, this is short stay, 20 mins. We will then drive to a parking area closer to the start of the day’s hike.

Who is this guided hike for?
Perhaps you have enjoyed some familiar local winter hikes and now want to explore some bigger mountain areas. You have good hiking fitness and a yearning for mountains, but don’t have the confidence to go hiking in an unfamiliar big mountain area.
That’s where our expertise comes in! We do the work so you can enjoy your guided mountain hike. No need for you to plan routes or for expert navigation in poor visibility, leave that to your qualified Mountain Leader.
You will need a good level of fitness and, depending on the time of year, you will be ready for very mixed ground conditions – from wet and boggy ground to heath, heather and rocky mountain summits.
This is not a winter skills course day, so you should already be comfortable moving around in crampons and also have practiced ice axe arrest; if you haven’t then why not join one of our winter skills courses to learn the foundation skills for safe winter hiking.
