Accommodation
Hostels
YHA and Independent Rooms have bunk beds, single beds and some single
rooms are available. Rooms are usually separate for men and women where
possible. Bed linen is provided, and showers and drying facilities are
usually present. It is necessary to bring towels and soap. Where full
board is included, meals are provided, although some help with the clearing
up is expected and very much appreciated.
Self-catering, on the other hand, requires participants to provide and
prepare their own food for meals. Most of the hostels used are managed
by the Youth Hosteling Association. Any independent hostels used are
ones in which we have total confidence, in the quality of beds, facilities
and location.
Guest
houses
which meet the Welsh Tourist Board "WTB" standards are selected.
The price is based on sharing 2, or very rarely 3, person rooms. En
suite facilities and single rooms are not always available but will
be obtained where possible. Single rooms are difficult to come by and
book so, if this is essential, please book early or phone to check availability.
Single room supplements "SRS" are listed alongside the prices.
Hotels
selected for some clients and courses again meet WTB standards and the
price is based on sharing a 2 person room. These would normally be en
suite but there are a few exceptions. Those requiring single rooms should
make this known and check the price list for the SRS. Bar facilities
may normally be available but not in every case, please check with the
hostel directly.
Holiday
cottages including log
cabins

cupboards, put the kettle on and wait for it to boil. Various standards
of quality like everything the more you pay the better equiped it comes.
Insurance
cover
We strongly recommend that you should have holiday cancellation and
travel insurance. Snowdonia Adventures can provide this cover arranged
as an option. The main benefit is the cancellation element but there
is cover for theft, loss, repatriation, and other normal holiday cover.more
